Before I move to Sengkang, I thought jialat… Ulu place… I m going to be stripped or deprived of good food after staying at places like East Coast and Ang Mo Kio. Lol. I am a prawn noodles fan and my man will say “你跟虾上辈子有仇!” cos I just love to eat them!!!
From the famous ones at East Coast, Jalan Kayu, Beach Road to the old school ones at Bendemeer, Upper Serangoon, Geylang (more on these later) – I am a fan so many times and over. The famous ones will command at least $8 to have sizeable prawns or even up to $11. While the old school ones probably around $4-5 with smaller prawns.

This however, has 2½pcs of medium size prawns (not small for sure), don’t have to charge extra for additional veg, has a “super gao” aka flavourful soup and only for $5.50 a bowl! I have been meaning to try the super big prawns one for $13 but just nice that day when I went, it wasn’t available. The owner said super big prawns weren’t fresh so they had to return. Good business ethics, checked! This is already my umpteenth return for their prawn noodles. Of course, they have the usual add-ons like lala, pig skin, etc if you are keen.

Way before Miss Tam Chiak posted about she having this for lunch that fateful day, this stall had already been seeing queues during lunch peak hours especially the weekends. Can expect approx 20-30mins queue.
