Our tingkat is simply yummy homecooked food with less salt, less oil, less sugar and no-added MSG. Remember the time when you pinched food off the table when your grandmother or mother is cooking? Remember how your corridor smells during dinner time?

Many asked where did I learn to cook? Well, simply put, I learnt from EATING!!! I cook with memories of my childhood, some of my favourites growing up, smell and taste of my grandmothers’ cooking, memories of my grandfather’s dishes, vivid “hatred” when my dad asked me to learn how to cook from him during primetime cartoon on TV when I was 10 years old… the mastery of our local hawkers and some of the missing heritage dishes…

We cook in small batches, i.e.: to fry veg for 100 pax, we literally fry 10 rounds, not all at one go. We eat what we cook, so we only cook things we love and enjoy eating!

Tingkat Dinner: Braised "Blind Box" Meat with Quails Egg & Korean Vermicelli

Welcome to the mid-month of "Kids Favourite" (March). The kids are having holidays and it seems like many are already not around. Remember to update us in advance on ur holidays so you can have a tingkat break. Rmber we are flexible and you can eat whenever you want so long as you use up your credits within 2 months.

This is inspired by the "东北: 小鸡炖蘑菇" which some of you had tried when I came back from Harbin with the yummy dried mushrooms. Lately, I been very craving for such!!! So lets do it but the less salty version.

We have either pork belly / chicken wings + midjoint / soft bone cubes / pork ribs braised in the same style, topped with fresh coriander and spring onion. A handful customers may have our steamed meat patty.

Soup of day: daikon, carrot, corn cob soup in our usual chicken soup base with fresh scallions.

Veg of day: bok choy / baby caixin / cabbage stir fry with carrot shreds, egg and wolfberries.

Side dish (for rice replacement / paid extra for sides): fried golden tofu with sesame sauce and sesame seeds.

What Our Customers Say

  • Have been enjoying Fat Queen Cooks tingkat and festive menu for some years now and feel that the quality and taste are so comforting and reminiscent of my childhood tastes. I don’t know of any other caterer who does beef Wellington or even salmon Wellington! Well done 👍 and keep the dishes coming!

  • The food is totally great and the service is very nice!! I always order 1 Kaya Butter Toast because it is delicious! Kaya is homemade, you can taste a strong flavor of pandan when you eat it. Also the butter is thick and the bread is baked just fine. Strongly recommended when you like to have lunch/dinner at here.

Small establishment packing quite impressive selection of menus. Their laksa is good; the broth is very thick and rich in flavor, perfect for the rainy day we came in. Other day I bought their beehoon + porridge set and it was also very good.

We had from Drinks (Peppermint mojito & Cranberry honey), Mains (Beef Wellington, Lamb rack & whole chicken), Sides (Bacon skewers, Smoked duck canape, Potato salad, Grilled corn & chicken wings) to Desserts (Tiramisu & Lemon meringue tarts). All guests were gushing and satisfied with the taste, aesthetic and variety offered. Not the usual run of the mill menu

It’s one of my favourite eatery that serves healthy food in 2024. Sadly it has closed its door but still serving good food via other means like tingkat and buffers etc. platable food like ayam buluak, chicken stew, popiah, pig trotters and desserts such as water chest nuts in soft egg soup and it’s black bean dessert soup.

Chance upon the shop through ig post when looking for the Christmas menu for hosting 6 person. The bundle that they have fits nicely for the 6 of us and it comes with drinks too. Making me hassle free to just setting up, plating and cleaning up the celebration. Thank you for making my life easier. The succulent roast chicken, interesting ham terrine, superbly delicious lemon crema sauce for the corn cob, very festive Christmas drink are a hit with everyone. Not even leftover goes to the bin. Will look forward to have chance to order another dishes again.

  • Chanced upon Fat Queen Cooks on my IG page while browsing for inspiration on what to buy for a Christmas gathering. Was a little apprehensive at first as I have never heard of them before but upon further looking up, saw that they have quite good reviews and decided to give them a try. During ordering, texted the owner to ask if I can swap the drinks from their preset menu for a dessert of similar price range and she obliged. Like her flexibility unlike some other businesses which do not allow any changes to their preset menu. Lastly, the food turned out to be good and my guests all enjoyed it. Look at the spread, the food was meant for 5 -6 ppl but they were generous in their quantity, certainly can feed more than that! Will recommend.

Ordered their chicken stew. The broth is thick in flavour and there are sufficient chicken and vegetables inside Cons: the waiting time for food can be long. I waited 15-20 mins for my porridge

My family’s first experience with Fat Queen Cooks was this year’s CNY Eve lunch. Food was delivered promptly, arrived warm and very presentable. Tasted really good too and not oily, not too salty. Thus, when my helper decided to go home for good, we decided to subscribe to Fat Queen Cooks tingkat. I have tried many tingkats before and they always serve what you can easily find at cai png store. Not that they’re no good, it’s just rather uninspiring. Haha. And the soups are usually bland too. Anyway, we’ve had 5 tingkat meals with Fat Queen Cooks now and my kids have always been looking forward to what’s for dinner. Especially Friday when there’s dessert! The variety of the menu is good. Good quality ingredients too! Sharing with you guys my favourite from last week. It was this Salmon Wellington and Creamy Tomato Soup (forgot to take pic of the soup 🤣).
