$1.50 Handmade Grass Jelly @ Golden Mile Food Centre

Its such a hot hot day !!! Had to have something cooling… Was around the area mid-day… Perfect for a bowl of Zhao An Granny Grass Jelly at Golden Mile Food Centre!

 

As usual had mine with my fav 2 toppings so that adds up to $2.50 (50¢ per topping). The handmade grass jelly, as usual, was smooth and fresh and not too sweet which I love… And importantly, you really don’t get that “cakey” feel with other grass jelly. So yeah, a bowl to cool down the burning heat!

Its really great to preserve the good old traditions and handmade craft! These are part of our heritage and culture… I miss my granny’s grass jelly too… I was still not quite “developed” in the foodie department then before my granny, a superb cantonese homecook, passed away… So yes to heritage preservation!
