Occasionally, I am completely satisfied with a good 油条 and a good cuppa. I did not learn to appreciate kopi that much last time… These days, its different.
The man by default will just go to the kopi and you tiao stall with the shortest queue. Me, however, made an observation. Da Zhong Cafe 大衆茶室 has had a long undying queue for the past 10mins. While the you tiao at Xin Xin You Tiao, although no queue, has perpetually no you tiao on display (vs the other stall the same you tiao has been on display for the past 10mins).
Indeed, did not disappoint. Our kopi siu dai + c ($1.10) is not bad… But the kopi is slightly bitter for my liking. The man was ok with it. The you tiao is good (70¢)!!! Will prefer it to be abit saltier but the dough is light and fluffy and with a tint of sweetness. 很香! If a tad saltier will be perfect! Dipping the nice hot fluffy you tiao into the kopi is divine! A perfect breakfast…
