I am very picky when it comes to Mee Rebus cos generally I am not a fan of yellow noodles – find it very oily and has that “kee” taste.

During 1 morning breakfast some time ago, I thought I decided to give this Mee Rebus a try and I was hooked! Boyfriend say jokingly that I got “drugged” but he, too, likes it. Lol… Been eating Mee Rebus at least once a week.

This old couple share the stall with a western food business. Morning = Mee Rebus / Night = Western. I reckon they only sell for breakfast, not even sure if they do lunch. I will remember to ask next time I am there. Uncle will be seen peeling the hard boiled eggs shell while Auntie mostly do the cooking.

Very flavourful “beanie” soup base that you won’t find it “jelat” and the noodles was cooked on point. Very basic ingredients with taugeh, 1 whole hard boiled egg, parsley, fried bawang, fried baby shrimp, topped with the sweet savoury black kicap sauce and some sambal. Throw in some green chilli and half a calamansi squeeze…sedap!
