If you ask me, I think there is not enough good Indian/Muslim food around Sengkang/Punggol. My office is right at Geylang Serai, its Indian/Muslim food haven there… And Sengkang is just right beside the “overrated” Jalan Kayu, which I find the prata too expensive and not as nice anymore – compared to 10 years ago.
I am sure there are many nice prata around SG but this is good for those staying around the hood.
Like what my friend will say… “虾很有虾的味道, 鱼饼很有鱼饼的味道” (prawns has good prawn flavour, fishcake has good fishcake flavour). This prata “很有prata的味道” (has very good prata flavour)

!!!
Crispy on the outside, right thickness – thats the skill of the prata man… very flavourful dough and soft fluffy on the inside – thats the dough supply (I would think they got their dough supply from elsewhere) but doesn’t matter, its yummy! And in comparison to the ones at Jalan Kayu – overpriced and inconsistent cooking and sometimes I find it way too thick or floury, it definitely gives it a run for their money!!! The curry is quite average, not exceptional but the prata definitely is good!!! I will always go for the plain ($1) or the cheese+egg ($2.50).
