This freshly made rice roll should have more stalls in SG!!! When I found out about this stall during my morning market trip when I had just moved to Marine Parade, it was a sworn loyalty.

We have just a couple of freshly made chee cheong fun stalls… Yong Huat Delight at Marine Terrace Hawker Centre is owned by a “美女老板娘” whom I wonder if her complexion is a result of the daily steaming. Lol. She is from China, Guangzhou and is a very friendly and assertive chee cheong fun maker.

The chee cheong fun are nice and soft though I wish it is abit thinner or “runnier”. However this version is good enough for me. I will usually ask to add more sauce cos somehow the chee cheong fun soaks up the sauce pretty fast. I love the sauce – not too salty and very fragrant. What i love is the fried garlic and the yummy chilli sauce that goes with it. I will ask to add chilli also. 🤭🤭🤭
They do have a lot of interesting flavours combination – a whole blue signboard of it. But I always know my favourites… Char Siew / Shitake / Shitake + Char Siew 🤣🤣🤣. The lady boss recommended the one with the egg once, she said its like the staple breakfast they will eat in Guangzhou but mmm… Not my cuppa tea, the egg thickens and “roughens” up my silky chee cheong fun so… Average about $2.50-$3 per plate (as seen on pic).

Overall, I really love these freshly made ones and occassionally if you are there on a Sunday morning, you may spot one of her regulars – Edmund Chen 陈之财. 🤭😍 Have bumped into this friendly local star quite a few times there.

Personally, I prefer the taste and texture at this stall compared to the one at Pek Kio. They do have cantonese porridge on the menu too. Its ok but I will have their chee cheong fun please.
