I ordered $8 cos I LOVE prawns ($10 + pig’s intestines)!!! And I was expecting smaller prawns, really… C’mon its only $8… BUT… Wah.. the prawns are big!!! Not only are they big, they are definitely fresh, plump and juicy!!! Cooked to perfection (hate overcooked prawns), $8 got me 4 big ones. I reckon $6 will be only 3 from the other foodie kaki post. The prawns are very plump 很饱满, and the head (if you are a prawn lover who loves to suck on the prawns’ heads like me, you will know that this is heavenly) is so juicy… But of course, can’t be compared to prawns reared in the sea. And again, its really cheap for live prawns of that size.
Another critical part of a good bowl of prawn noodles is the soup. I find their soup average, light and savoury, not very intense but maybe the soup will get better later in the day cos I went around 11am. My bee hoon was cooked on point. Overall, I will definitely be back again for the live prawns and its noodles!!!
