Am in office now and I am so hungry!!! And my mind wanders to that weekend where I, whom was never a super big fan of pork lard aka “ba you pok” fell in love with it… I mean I love it on my food but I don’t fancy biting them. This… Give me a pail please!!!

So was around the hood to run some errands and a foodie friend recommended this place. So we went… And it was super heavy rain!!! We waited for almost 40mins for our mee pok and mee kia dry. The small eating house was dedicated to this fishball noodles, they also run a zhap chye peng at the side. They were fully packed. Even ordering has a queue. Ladyboss say weekends cannot add extra ingredients cos upon seeing that they make their own vegetables fish roll “菜角卷”, i so wanted to order extra. In the end order the $5 big noodles so I can have that 1pc of veg roll. Lol.

So while waiting, seated on the extra chairs at the neighbour outside space cos the eating house was packed… and beating my hungry stomach, I heard many customers raving about their bee tai mak, fishballs and how they are willing to wait for it… I love bee tai mak btw… So abit disappointed that I did not hear this earlier. Lol. I ordered mee pok for myself. 🤔🤔🤔 Then i saw and read the article on the wall by KF Seetoh.

About 40mins later, our dabao is here! Finally… We dabao and had a “romantic” lunch in our van cos its pouring so heavily and we were so hungry. 1st bite… OMG!!! The noodles were cooked on point and the CHILLI = SEDAP!!!! Spicy, flavourful, not too salty and its punchy!!! Me love… Then best… The pork lard is so crunchy, fresh and melts in your mouth!!! Superb!!! Even my own fried pork lard doesn’t reach that standard.

The fishballs, meat balls and veg rolls are good!!! Very fresh and super delicate… Can taste the fish and the “boing boing” bite… Savoury goodness… I wish i can add like 10 more pcs of balls… Whichever kind that I can get my hands on… Lol…

Both portions shown in the pic are $5 portion. Absolutely worth it!!! I want to be back there often for this!!! But staying in North-East is like so far… Will hv to inspire the driver to go… Lol…
