$3 Cheap & Good Sheng Mian “生面” @ Ang Mo Kio
Their sheng mian is really very well done – good flavours. Very al-dente. Flavourful soup – can taste the effort of long boiling ikan billis and pork bones.

This is definitely a heritage dish that deserves preservation! Young kids these days hardly appreciates innards!!!
I love their handmade fish paste. The slight saltiness and the al-dente “q-ness” at 1st bite and you know its packed with fish and not flour.
The owner said super big prawns weren’t fresh so they had to return. Good business ethics, checked! Prawn noodles are only for $5.50 a bowl!
This porridge is the authentic Cantonese style of porridge where the rice is cooked till you don’t actually see the rice pieces.
The meepok was cooked al-dente, good. Super thumbs up for the soup, liver, pork. Very very good texture and flavour!
